Dear Members and Friends
Welcome to our website, It is through the our correspondence with you
that we can reflect on all of our achievements and accomplishments, throughout
the last 45 years of existence.
We are one of the biggest and most respected community
organisations in SA and must strive to maintain this. We also must remind
ourselves the importance of maintaining our Chian heritage and nurturing
the interaction of Chiotes in S.A.
Times have changed, and as an association we have had
the foresight to keep up with changes to be able to maintain the aims
and objectives. One example of this is to offer exciting and innovative
functions. Of course it is only with the members' participation that
this can all be achieved. The more united support of all our members
for its objectives the stronger the association will become.
There is no doubt the future of the Association depends
on the participation of our younger members and their friends. These
younger members will only embrace the association if they are made to
feel welcome, and this is the reason some events and functions are being
held in such a style, as to result in enthusing these participants.
In finishing I must thank the committees, the ladies Auxiliary
and the Executive who work together in harmony and very hard to make
it all happen. All of us together, committees and members must work
together in unity for our association to prosper in the future and have
something
worthy that our children will want to continue with. It is something
our ancestors have left us, and something we should feel very proud
of.
